Wifi Extender - Sky Q Booster compatibility with Now TV?

Hi,
We had Sky Broadband but are switching to Now TV.
As wifi was poor in our house Sky gave us one of their wifi extenders, a Sky Q booster.
Does anyone know whether this will still work when we switch to Now TV? I've read somewhere on the web that the Sky Q booster will only work with a Sky router - but as Now TV are I think part of Sky I'm wondering if it might work - to save us having to buy a new booster.
If not, please can anyone suggest an affordable but effective booster we could buy.

Slightly confused. You pay Sky for Broadband and TV but you are stopping the TV and using NowTV instead? The SkyQ Booster extends wifi. What NowTV equipment are you getting?If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0
