Indian tourist eVisa photo

I'm going to India in November this year. I'v been looking at the indian visa website and note I have to provide a photo and a passport bio page image. Does the photo have to be the same as in the passport or is it ok to use a current photo. The photo on my passport is about was done in 2009. Thanks

Up to you.

The eVisa is cheaper and more convenient, but is only valid for stays of up to a month (and then you must arrive at a major airport). The conventional visa is valid for six months, and permits arrival by land, sea, or a minor airport.
