The Halfords or are the others worth the extra money?

Link not working but the first is
Halfords 5W30 Vauxhall/Opel GM Fully Synthetic Oil 5L0 -
Imho so long as the oil meets the correct specification it makes little difference what brand you get. Bear in mind that Halfords will just rebrand another oil as their own.
Take a look at Euro car parts and Car parts 4 less, if you sign up to their emails you will get regular offers on oil and other bits and bobs.
My car uses a similar oil to yours, last time I bought some I got Shell Helix at approximately £18 for 5l. I find it's worth buying a few when a decent offer comes along.0 -

You will probably get it for a lot less money at a motor factors like Eurocarparts. If you order it on line there is normally a discount code you can use to bring the price down even further.0 -

I've found Eurocarparts quite pricey to the point I'll only use them as vendor of last resort. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
If you don't need it today, Halfords will have their fully synthetic oil on a sale. keep checking their website.
Tescos were selling Magnatec or something at 50% off (and it was still dear) Tescos do a 5/30 synthetic for £12 for 2 litres.
When I had a vauxhall, the vauxhall dealer used to sell oil cheaper than the motorfactors, and it had little vauxhall badges on the label.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

It doesn't matter what brand of oil you use as long as it meets Dexos 2 Spec.
Try your local vauxhall dealer, you should get 5 ltrs for around £23 and this would be genuine vauxhall. If it isn't broken, don't try to fix it.0
