End of Tenancy - £1800 bill.. please provide advice?

  • Congratulations on getting a good outcome and thank you for the update. Out of curiosity, what exactly were the awarded amounts for? The reason I'm curious is because we had a 6 year tenancy and the landlord also tried to claim for a new carpet. I don't know exactly how old they were, but I do know that that they were not brand new when we moved in (possibly a year or 2 old) but the arbitrator just ruled 50/50 despite it going against their own advice regarding betterment on their website.

    @MinnieMouseEars The £733.50 repairs asked was for re-tiling the kitchen, he for some reason dropped the carpet cost when completing an online claim. Sorry that doesn't hugely help you as it isn't carpet related :(
