I just renewed mine with BT, i had some concerns of posts on plusnet forum of it taking a while to transfer etc so put me off a bit.

BT offered me the same deal I had now and have extended my discount to run the 18 month contract (was originally up in early part of next year) So to summaries, Yes i could get it cheaper with 2 other companies but both had reports various issues either in transferring or in service so as BT has been fine and no issues at all, I decided as my price wont increase for 18 months and i'll pay the same that I am paying now, it seemed the easier choice.

All i need to do now is check my bill next month to confirm all is in order :)

    Thanks all

How much are you paying per month and what package are you on?.
A relative of mine recently phoned up to cancel due to the price increase and got the Infinity 2 package that is £39.99 for new customers for around £31 a month, so i hope you got a good deal!

    Hi,

I don't have exact figures to hand but roughly, i get infinity 1, free weekend and think evening calls for £33 per month however i use the line rental saver which reduces my monthly payment by £18 roughly. I cant get the speed for infinity 2. They only guarantee approx 30mb for me and i think most i've seen is 34-36 tops so even the 52mb i cant achieve.

I am on superfast fibre 1 for £14 and I have line rental saver paid up front. Do people think that I should probably refix for the 18 mths?

18 months will include future price increases.
I get BB fibre 1 for £3 pm after price rise negotiations .

Hold fire, don't click the refix button, I gave BT a call, for the same deal they reduced my monthly direct debit from £16 to £9 for 18 months, I have line rental saver and unlimited fibre also staying with BT I have free caller display, free BT call protect and I retain my BT/Yahoo email addresses.

So unexpectedly this price increase has reduced my direct debit, but you must negotiate.
