I remember Anglia Hastings and Thanet building society (taken into Nationwide Anglia), and I had an Access card from National & Provincial. (I think they put my photograph on the back).
I've bought records in city centre legends like Listen! records and Groucho's (which is still going but the owner wants to retire and sell soon).There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Braggs - taken over by Greggs
Pizzaland - taken over by Pizza Hut
Escom - 90s computer store, probably killed off by online retailing
Pizzaland became Bella italia. Now some of those are closing.
Bargain Booze has been around here for at least 40 years. It was originally in one of the Kwik Save 'sheds'.
Our Coop closed this week.
