BT Sport - any other way other than with BT?

I consider myself fairly money savvy and always shop around for the cheapest deals with my utilities etc. However, I feel that BT have me over a barrel and I'm sick of paying their price increases every year! My contract and line rental are both due to expire this month. Line rental is going to cost me £208.80 for another year (on the line rental saver) and at the moment I pay £33.50 a month for broadband and tv (including BT Sport).

My main problem being that I like to watch MotoGP, which is on BT Sport. At the moment, I have boardband, TV and phone line with BT. I never use the phone lines for calls, in fact I don't even have a phone plugged in. I still want to have unlimited broadband and I'm not overly bothered what TV package I have, other than wanting BT Sport.

I've looked into various other deals and thought I'd found a good offer with Sky which included FREE line rental. I could add BT sport on afterwards but to do this, they wanted another £27.99 A MONTH!!

Does anyone have any clever suggestions for a way around BT's rip-off charges?!

Thanks in advance :)

    Plusnet?

£5 extra a month for the app which also allows streaming to your TV. They often have deals on to make it half price as well. Only a 30 day contract so you can cancel when you want.

You need to work out what watching Moto GP is worth to you .
Price up Sky Sports + BB and Line rental as a comparison .Apart from PN as posted all i have seen is much much higher prices for BT Sport from non BT ISPs .

About 2 years ago I seem to remember that there was a joint press release by Sky and BT informing subscribers that cross platform access to both broadcasters sports package was imminent (early 2019) Is this ever going to happen and what is the delay?

It’s been available since February. It doesn’t mean you get BT Sport as part of a Sky package and vice versa, it just means you can now go to BT and pay £40 all in per month for all BT Sport and Sky Sport channels and a similar sort of thing with Sky although I imagine Sky is more expensive as they make you take their Signature Entertainment pack on all TV subscriptions whereas you can get just sport from BT.
