    When was it purchased.

Brake cables wear out and won’t be gteed for 6 years.

No child was injured so don’t even mention it

The pram was purchased at Mamas and Papas...which is even more frustrating... as they have record of my other purchases I have made, except for this one and I'm going round in circles with them.

Why do they have record of your other purchases but not this one? If you used debit/credit card to purchase this pram then you'll have statements AND you won't be an anonymous customer to them... But if you've paid in cash for a pram then you are just another anonymous customer to them, as they (very likely) don't ask you for personal information at checkout.

Do many people pay for items like prams in cash though? Seems a bit unlikely... More likely for a cheap 2nd hand pram to be purchased in cash, mind you do Mamas and Papas do 2nd hand items? At a push though, you may well be able to trace the cash (bank withdrawal for roughly the same amount as the pram) using your bank statements and that *may* be enough with a timestamp.

Additionally, you can always approach the manufacturer of the pram and see what they say (warranty etc). Technically, whilst you would have consumer rights with the retailer (when you prove purchase), the pram snapped because of either:

    1. Misuse by you (or a third party)

    2. Manufacturing defect

The retailer isn't generally the one to blame for what happened (so try and drop the emotional aspects of your post aimed towards us/retailer), but they are the one who needs to rectify the issue for you IF you can prove that you bought it from them (and not gumtree/freegle/facebook/friend etc).
  • You've been asked several times how you paid, if you've got any emails etc, and other details.

Did you perchance register any form of guarantee/warranty? This surely would be good enough as proof of purchase?
