Plenty of new cars come with clear 3M protection paint film in that location nowadays for protection.
It is often created by throw-up from the front wheels, stones and salt etc,, but is particularly extreme.
Presumably that corner of the door is slightly recessed for it to be so bad.
Too late to apply film now it looks like that, without fixing the paint first.0 -
The door also looks marked which wouldn't happen when loading. What car is it? If it was stone damage it would be common to that car.0

once the paint is sorted, something like this might help. My Kia has it fitted from new to the same areas, so they must be vulnerable
