Nothing means nothing!
You could get debt collector letters at any time, and they could go on for any amount of time - but they carry no weight, so ignore them (read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #4).Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

They will bombard you with scary letters. Nobody would pay if they sent nice fluffy letters.
Ignore them too.0 -
Alright excellent, thank you all for being so helpful, I really appreciate it!

You see, in England and Wales, these parking companies
are on the funny stuff ..
In Scotland they have too many drams and that sends
them doolally. In their dreams they think they have got
you, but without a driver known, they float around like
a headless chicken0 -
Just to reassure you, no-one I know in Scotland who has gone down the totally ignore route has got anything other than about half a dozen increasingly nasty letters that have led to nothing. No court, no payment made, anything.
Despite that, keep the letters safe in case the scum, sorry, PPC are stupid enough to try court. But it's highly unlikely that they will.
It's Friday, go have a glass of something and chill.0 -
Best advice is to ignore all letters. Worked for me with several tickets in a NCP carpark. Put everything straight in the bin.0

Never throw away any communication that suggests you owe a third party a debt until the period of limitation has expired - 5 years in Scotland, 6 years in England/Wales.Put everything straight in the bin.
Just read the threads here where posters, now being sued (in E/W), are on the back foot because they've binned earlier correspondence. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
