Travelling credit card issue

Hi there
I am off travelling late September for 3 months with my partner, we will be visiting Malaysia, Indonesia, Aus/NZ and Canada. In particular we will be renting a car with Jucy in Aus and NZ, and Dollar car rental in USA, where I think the deposit on the rental is around £1500-2000 in all of these places.
We will need a credit card in order to put the deposit down. My main issue is finding one that will definitely cover the amount required for the deposit. The online details for a lot of the credit cards recommended for online spending on MSE do not have obvious details regarding this. I wondered if anyone had any recommendations or suggestions regarding this?
Furthermore, for spending abroad, would it be best to get the best credit card available, and then a separate one that does not charge for cash withdrawals? As we will require a mix.
Thanks in advance

We have no idea of your creditworthiness.

The credit limits offered by card companies depends on your own circumstances and credit history. A debit card is sometimes acceptable. Take several other 'travel' cards to use, to preserve the available limit on a credit card and as backup for the extended trip:My main issue is finding one that will definitely cover the amount required for the deposit.

Always pay in local currency and reject any offer by an ATM to convert your pounds.Evolution, not revolution0 -
Regarding credit worthiness - we are both students, just graduated, but with a substantial amount of money saved to spend whilst travelling etc.
Regarding the range of credit cards - can a deposit of say 2000 be split as 1000 on 2 different cards?0 -

Why don't you ask Jucy??
Make sure that you have suitable camper-van hire excess insurance.

If not, you may need to pay Jucy for their excess waiver.
The length of your trip might exclude a cheaper annual policy, such as the one from icarhireinsurance. Check with the insurer beforehand.
I have a feeling that you intended to skimp on insurance. That being the reason why you are concerned with high deposits.0 -
Renting a car through Jucy - not a camper van. Have, however, dropped them an email to ask the procedure regarding a bond on multiple cards.
Length of trip not an issue and we have suitable insurance through our car insurance annual policy. You'd be wrong on wanting to 'skimp' on insurance, of course not, more that Jucy's rates are extortionate (as are most car insurance company's excess waiver). Only concerned with high deposits in the context of having a credit card that has capacity for the deposit to be on. But thanks anyway :T0 -

Just making sure you aren't skimping on the essentials.
What car insurance covers you in Oz and NZ? Did you mean car hire (excess) insurance?
Perhaps you are from that part of the world, since you use the term 'bond'.
The main issue I can see with spreading the pre-authorisation over more than one card is that they may insist that both cards are in the name of the person named on the contract.
Since it's only a pre-authorisation it's not essential that it's a dedicated travel card.0 -
