after reading this thread I found a box behind the tills, it was the last one. Bought it to try, but a couple of tomatoes were rotten. Otherwise just about value for money, most stuff in quite poor condition (ie well past it , not just going over).

In our store there are usually about 6 or 8 boxes put out at lunchtime. The best ones go first and the others are left to fry in the heat of the big windows behind the tills. I only ever buy them early on, and sometimes if there is only one left you will find that people have taken out the best items and added them to their own box. Always worth a look, anyway.
