I've been with BT for my phone and broadband forever (or at least it feels like forever) and have always been able to haggle the price down when contracts have been renewed. I have therefore been able to continue using the same @bt.com email addresses.
I have a number of email addresses for different things, but have been able to check them all on whichever email program comes with progressive versions of windows without logging in and out of each address in turn. I have tried using google and yahoo for email, but I've found it a right pain having to log out of 1 account and into another to check each in turn.
Unfortunately, BT are no longer competitive and I can save £££s by changing provider. That will mean I'll loose the @bt.com addresses. I assume, whoever I sign up with, will allocate an email address, but if I'm going to be chasing the cheapest deals in future, I don't want to be continually changing my email addresses.
Which free email providers can you recommend, that are compatible with Windows Mail?

That's not the case now, I'm logged into 4 or 5 on a W10 laptop. Perhaps it's changed? I'm a recent convert to Windows Mail.0
