Virgin Billing without consulting.

Hi, when i originally took the contract out with Virgin, the 0845 numbers were included in the package. I have dialled these numbers several times a month and never up until now been charged. This is how i knew something was wrong. I contacted Virgin who confirmed they had stopped this now.
I have had no communication from that at all to say that this was going to be the case.( And yes, i check my spam every day, i have too for work reasons.) If i had, i wouldn't have carried on calling them!!
I have since spoken with someone else who has not had any correspondence from them to say that this was happening either and she has a bigger bill than me.
I just don't think this is right for them to do this. And was asking if anyone else knew of this.

I'd contact them again and see if you can get the equivalent in credit perhaps pushing the lack of communication.

Given that usage of premium rate 084, 087 and 09 numbers is now banned for customer services, financial services and public services there should be almost no need to call these numbers any more.
