Ending a contract

I have a contract with Virgin that is due to expire on the 18th of next month. I dont intend to renew the contract and wish to cancel it as soon as I can. What do I need to do to cancel it? Can I just cancel the Direct Debit or do I have to contact them as well?

You need to inform them.
Call 789 after 18th November, and insist you want to cancel at the end of your minimum term (they will try and persuade you to convert to PAYG.)
Once your final bill has been paid (which will be raised after the cancellation takes effect) you can cancewl the DD.0 -
check your T's & C's. They may require 30 days notice. If you're not already on it, consider a cashback deal with somebody like https://www.e2save.co.uk (part of the Carphone Warehouse). ask specifically about how to port virgin - virgin because there can be complications.0 -
Thanks for your quick responses. I am actually sticking with Virgin thanks to my daughter who works for Virgin Media but advised me about the Sim only bundle I get 300 minutes and 300 texts for £10 a month. I am currently paying £30 a month and getting 200 minutes and 300 texts.
Although theres nothing in the terms and conditions, I just didnt fancy telling them I was swapping one Virgin contract for another and saving quite a bit in the process.:DThis is a system account and does not represent a real person.
