Want to Cancel contract Early help

I have 8 months left on my 3 contract and want to cancel it without paying the full line rental.

Let me just say that the reason I am cancelling is that I have decided to take a job in another country for 2 years and leave in a month. I have not had any problems with 3 (unlike alot of other customers) and would want to go back to them once I get back to the UK.

I know that if 3 changes its contract/tarrifs at any point I can cancel so if anyone hears anything regarding this can you let me know. Other than that any other ideas will be great.

you could strike a deal as in asking to switch to 3 Europe and then returning to 3 UK when you come back?

otherwise you could hand the contract over to a relative who needs one. they might need the handset to sweeten the deal

Thanks for the advice, I think I'd probably need to give the phone to a friend, as there is no need for a mobile in the 3rd world.

But I'll try talking to them see if I can suspend the contact for a while, who know.
