  • Oh wow, congratulations!! Fingers crossed for you that everything goes relatively smoothly.
  • How exciting and nerve wracking at the same time

Relax , Chill and go with it

Everything will be worth it when you are closing your own front door
  • Thank you! I'm beaming today.

  • Exciting times :)

It'll definitely be worth it in the end, good luck xx
  • Tonight I'm dying for a glass or three of wine & some cheesecake - but I resisted the supermarket because I don't get paid til tomorrow & I want my account to look healthy at the end-of-month. Next week the mortgage advisor will be scrutinising our statements & I want an A+ ;-)
Today we selected a solicitor, mortgage advisor & surveyor, & the estate agents took the house off the market. Tooooo grownup!
    C'mon payday...

  • Pay day!! PHEW.
Also, nearly made it to the weekend.
Today I'm going to relax as much as possible. Might get papers together for the House-Money-People, aka everyone I appointed yesterday who I'm lumping in together in a gang known as 'expensive.' But no one can't wait til Monday, & I need some downtime.
Meeting a friend for drinks after work, & they're pretty moderate so I'm unlikely to go overboard with them.
Then this month it's a case of saving every penny for the expensive gang. Thankfully, because I moved my would-be debt repayments to my savings account instead, I've got cash on hand to cover their fees for me + boyf.

Once mortgage done I can have an idea of what my new monthly outgoings will be. Def won't be less than our rent is, & house + life insurance will be new costs.

  • Wow, it's easy to spend money. It wants to trickle through my fingers like sand. No wonder I am in debt.
Yesterday just little bits of spending added up so fast, & having just been paid I let it, partly out of curiosity : a £2.25 pastry for breakfast, four 99p kindle books some bits from Sburys for a lunch at the allotment, £5 for a trug at B&Q, £5 in the allotment shop, a £3 bottle of beer, a £4.50 bus into town, a £2 pack of biscuits, another (cheaper) bottle of beer. Pretty much £50 gone in a day, and that's me being moderate by making my own lunch & buying beer from the shop instead of a pub.
Today I'm back at the allotment then meeting a friend. Will prob spend on a bus ticket as they are on the opposite ends of town (& I'm still aching from yesterday's digging!).
Today is also a brilliant day because all my credit card standing orders go & my balances go down. Can't be bothered to update my sig right now because I'm on my phone, but will tomorrow.
Hope everyone's enjoying the weekend, even if you're working.

It's scary how easy it is to spend large amounts almost without thinking. Those little spends that 'don't matter' because they are only small, soon add up!
