    Morning All

I got up earlyish as the builders are coming to fix the gutter and a couple of other bits but they havent arrived yet, typical!

I'm looking after a friend's 6 year old today so if the weather's nice we'll go to a park that has recently been 'done up' if not it will be the swimming pool, he usually goes home from here exhausted.

Yesterday's rain cleared up nicely and it was a great drying day, got the bedding and another load dried then gave the garden furniture another coat of paint, it's looking quite good. Rain forecast for later so probably wont get any more of it done today.

Hope you're OK Gers, that's a lot of driving for half an hour at home.
    Hugs to you TA.
Go look at the house silver-oldie, it might be horrid inside but at least you'll know!
Get well soon Mr Csarina and Mr ILC.

Have a happy Tuesday, take care. XX

    Morning all.

Had a terrible night with DM, she phoned me (from her bedroom) at half past one as she couldn't get out of bed for the loo. It took a lot of heaving and holding to hep her onto the zimmer, commode and back to bed. I need to call the doc again.

My plans for today will have to change.

Hugs all round to all those having difficulties..

Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Sorry to hear your Mum is not well again Gers, I hope the Drs can find an answer. Its very frustrating for you I know.

OH was a bit better yesterday and the nurse looking after him reports he is being seen later this morning by the Drs.

The sun seems to be back with us but there is a breeze. I sat with the back door open last night and had a visitor, a cat wandered in, no idea where from, its not one I have seen before. Back door firmly shut.

Cancelled the cleaners for today, no need the house is tiry and I did managed to wnagle the cleaner out of the cupboard and just run it over the carpet.

Not going to the hospital tomorrow, SS is going to take it in turns he will go one day, me the next.

I weighed myself this morning have lost 2 kilo's.

Nothing more to report, Packing the bag to take in with me today, just a few things he wants.

Thanks all for your kind messages. My hubby is not coming home today. Infection is going but not enough at present, and he has to have a CT scan, which will be either today or tomorrow also OH is still on antibiotics.

I am not going down till 6pm to visit as I did not sleep well and visitors have to leave the ward between 5-6 as it is the patients tea time.

I am going to have a nap and then catch up on some jobs, before I go .

Judi did Grump stick to your shopping list, or have you got lots of odds and ends that were not on the list?

He did pretty well actually apart from buying enough mayonnaise to last us 12 months. Of course he came back with various car bits from the 'aisles of sh!te'.

    Morning all,

Childcare day today. I've got Livewire today and tomorrow. He's like his Mother, doesn't shut up! Love that boy I do!

Expecting Prodigal at some point too. He's got some paperwork he wants me to help him with.

Gers sorry to hear of your news regarding your Mum.

Ilovecomps and Csarina thinking of you and your poorly hubbies too.

    Onwards and forwards

    Have a great day all.

Big hugs to Gers. Ta, Ilovecomps, Dumpling and csarina.

    Csarina

Very well done on the weight loss. I get weighed tomorrow night but don't think I will have lost much over the last two weeks what with a few family meals out.

Men are digging out the patio, having cut out all the bamboo and have found there used to be a wall there which is making it such a hard job in the heat. I have been bringing out jugs of iced squash and some ice lollies that are not slimming friendly. I now have over thirty breakfast bars in the freezer ready for DD and SIL when they want them. Still no news on baby but fingers crossed.

I had porridge for breakfast and a bagel with smoked salmon and raspberries and yoghurt for an early lunch. Depending on the weather I am considering sausage and mash or a crustless quiche/ Spanish omelette for tonight. A grocery delivery has been put away but the carrots look a bit tired so I might just peel and dice them and freeze ready to use later.

    Gers

I don't want to but in but I am worried if you (or anyone on their own) are going to manage the lifting and moving involved without hurting yourself. Would it be worth getting an occupational therapist to advise on things that might make lifting and moving easier for you both?

    Hugs to all

    Morning all!

Not often you hear the above from me, trying to get myself into the habit of getting on early.

Windy and overcast here, not very cold so am going to take a short walk in a bit, have become very much a couch potato as hip and back have been acting up.....walk will be 15 minutes twice for the rest of this week, then build from there.

Csarina.....glad that OH is improving, sensible to 'spell' the visiting with SS, its very tiring for everybody.

Gers.....sorry to hear that DM is so unwell, take things as easy as you can.

TA....hope that the scan result is useful, try to rest, even if you can't sleep.

Dumpling......hope that you are not coming down with the lurgy Lee has had.

Hester......all that walking has to be good for you.

ILC.....hope that OHs infection clears soon.

DD1 on dinner duty tonight, so might go visit DD4 and the granddaughters a little later.

    Love to all,

    Marie

Thanks Elona - your advice is well received!

The doc has just been and is admitting DM back to QUEH - a 'within four hours' ambulance has been ordered. The GP spent a good long while here and was even talking to DM about her (DM) war years. There's a two page letter now waiting to go with DM in the ambulance, I'll have a wee read too.

No doubt there will be a long wait in the Acute Receiving Unit, the time before last it was six hours. No Scottish hospital has hit the four hour target since April last year and the NHS here has closed all the local hospitals and built this 'super hospital' where all patients are sent to. Seems madness to me.

So, now we are waiting for the ambulance.

It's good to hear of your OH's improvement today csarina and your's too ILC.
