One Call insurance - outrageous fees

Recently took out a policy with them via moneysupermarket & they want £40 to change some info that I never entered in the first place!!
I had a claim this year for theft of my vehicle, I didn’t however tell them it was a fault claim because there is no option to do so on the comparison website - there is only one option for theft & it says “theft of vehicle” only.
They now want to charge an admin fee for information they have incorrectly assumed at their end I.e. it was a non fault claim. Any advice?

Whenever you are unhappy with your insurer the route to go down is a formal complaint in line with their complaints procedure
Then if they ignore you for 8 weeks or you are unhappy with the reply you can escalate to the FOS for their adjudication all at no cost to you0 -
why do people still take insurance out with these people?0

Fair point Bigisi. The whole country needs educating on insurance. Perhaps I need to be a vlogger. Im sure it would be popular0

I took a motor policy in Dec 2017. The FCA published A decision notice against One Call Insurance Services Limited in Jan 2018. If I had seen this I would and should have steered clear .0

If you had seen this long running thread you would have steered clear:

This is why, when you are buying insurance through a comparison or 3rd party website you have to check 100% that everything is correct once you are linked to the insurers actual site....don't just go by what you have entered or see on the comparison site.0

I'm always amazed people insure with all these budget insurers based overseas.
Whenever I obtain quotes, yes they're sometimes cheapest, but rarely by more than £20-£30 for a year compared with a big insurer.
I'd still hesitate even if one was £200 cheaper than I could get with say Aviva or Directline (and I'd definitely research them thoroughly first!)0
