We are travelling to Florida with United and have booked a seat for our 14 month old grandchild. United's website states that car seats for use on their planes should be no more than 16" wide (41cm).

Economy seat widths on United are described as between 16" (41cm) and 17" (43cm) wide between arm rests.

I am struggling to find a car seat that width on sale in the UK.

Has anybody travelled with United recently with a car seat and if so what forward facing car seat did you use to fit in a standard Economy seat.

Thanks
