So ~720 displaying on a 1080 monitor. Explains the blur, especially not being exactly 720.
You need to either set up as a second display at 1080 or just use the monitor. You might be able to set the mirrored display to 1080 but then the laptop display is going to either to scroll or look bad (if the driver even allows it).0 -
Go into Display Properties. Select Monitor 2 by clicking on the rectangle with the number 2 in it and make sure the resolution is set to 1920x1080.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

The problem here is that TV screens are not designed to be used as monitors in the same way as laptop screen is, they tend to blur all the text.
We're talking about a monitor in this thread.
Your monitor has 1920x1080 pixels - that's good - full HD. Plug it in. right click on the desktop on the monitor and goto properties or desktop properties. You should be changing the resolution to 1920x1080 - are you able to do this? Do you not have this option? Any laptop that has an HD output should really be able to support this resolution.
There are a few other settings to consider like mirroring/duplicating or extending, for which I would like to know what version of Windows you are using?0
