Morning everyone,
It’s dry but still breezy here, the garden is showing signs of recovery after a couple of days of rain.
Over to see Lu this morning and then over to the hospital later to visit DSIL, she is making slow progress but feeling a tad better.
Will be thinking of the TA’s, hugs to you both and to Gers & her DM. Hope you get some better news today Csarina.
Have a good day folks x0 -

I did a machine load last night, which I will take with me to DDs today as the forecast is dry and sunny after lunch so I can hang it on her whirly gig.

Morning all.
Up with the larks today, showered and dressed as the nurse is coming this morning. Last week she arrived at 8am when I was still in pjs so this week I'm prepared.
DM not too good still. Her own GP is back from her hols today so I hope to speak to her at some point. I also hope to drive home and back again today, that depends when the nurse comes.
Good vibes to Mrs and MrTA and Mrs and MrCsarina.
Happy Monday to all.0 -
Morning All
Sunshine and showers look to be the order of the day. The bedding may have to play the hokey cokey.
I had a dust and hoover last night, I'm looking after friend's budgies and they seem to make quite a lot of mess, not to mention a lot of noise!
I have rhubarb cut ready to make some more jam, the last for this year I think. I made courgette chutney on Saturday as I have a glut of them from the allotment, nearly run out of empty jars now.
Meeting a friend for lunch today, she'll talk and I'll nod in the right places, she can talk for Britain.
Hope the poorlies, worrieds and downs are ok, take care. XX0 -
Good morning chums,
I hope everyone is well.
I had a nice weekend, spent mostly with TGFW. I collected her on Saturday afternoon and she had a few bags so asked me to come to the door to help her to the car with them. Low and behold her Mum is there, so the introductions were made. Can't tell if that was a deliberate ploy or not.
Anyway, we get back to mine and she gives me my birthday presents, which included a very expensive bottle of aftershave and an overnight stay down in London. While I really appreciate the sentiment and the thought, I couldn't help but think it was a bit much so early. We went for dinner, had a few drinks and it was a really good night. Pencilled in to see her again on Saturday.
Usual Monday for me; gym > work > football > bed.
RR - Do you often get random vegetables sat at your front door?
TA - I hope todays pretty straightforward and not much waiting about. And, of course, the scans go ok.0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need them.
Yesterday was the day from hell, I went in to see OH and found him not in a good state. He was having difficulty getting words out and in considerable pain in his chest and head. Twice whilst I was there he 'went off' once the Dr was there, it took us a bit to bring him round again, another head scan has been requested but according to the nurse was not done yesterday.
SS went last night and found him in much the same condition. He is going back in tonight.
I have phoned this morning and the nurse says he is OK, thats what they said yesterday and he was far from OK. I am going in at lunchtime.0 -
Good morning everyone :hello:
It's so much cooler here after all the rain yesterday, I love it.
Lee is very poorly with tonsilitis and was running a high temperature on and off yesterday. Unfortunately he was very sick all over the floor in the living room last night but thankfully we have a wet and dry floor cleaner which cleaned up the worst of it. He keeps falling asleep and then waking up with the pain in his throat so I am keeping a very close eye on him today.
I nearly had paella for breakfast but after a couple of mouthfuls I decided that it wasn't very nice so chucked it out and had a nice bowl of cornflakes instead. I am going to make a chicken and leek pie for tea but will leave off the pastry lid on mine and just have the filling with a load of veggies and new potatoes.
I ordered myself a couple of cross stitch kits to do for the Autumn as a change from my knitting. I used to cross stitch a lot but got fed up of it. I had far too many kits in my stash which left me discouraged so I am just limiting myself to no more than three now.
I love sewing in the evenings with Steve playing some awful B-movie in the background.
I am so sorry to read about all the worries and stresses on here. Sending big big hugs to Gers, csarina, TA, I love comps, hope all the medical appointments go well and your loved ones are feeling better soon xx
Judi, what a horrible holiday and wow, just read about your 'welcome' home last night. Hope it all settles down a bit and you manage to get some rest xx
I have to go to town today to pick up some meds so I will be taking Lilly with me once she gets up. I am not looking forward to it but will cheer myself up with a new magazine.
Hope you all have a good day whatever you are up to, take care xx0 -
Gers, TA, Csarina, dumpling and anyone else with a poorly loved one, I hope things improve.
Speky, I agree that it does seem a bit much after such a short relationship but give her the benefit of the doubt and just try and see how it goes if you like her.
I spent yesterday trying to sort out Edinburgh Fringe shows to see when we go up in a couple of weeks with SiL. Some of them are very expensive. I've booked a selection of things so that we have a framework for the week. DH has booked a nice restaurant for the Saturday which will be our 39th wedding anniversary. I did that while watching the grand prix and the cycling. I find the Tour de France fascinating to watch, the way some will cycle away from the peloton and then be slowly caught up and passed. The distances they cycle every day are unimaginable.
I've lost my sewing mojo a bit so I must try to regain it now its a bit cooler.0 -
