Aldi's usually comes near top of reviews & is far cheaper than well known brands.

I like Morrisons "Sun Care" - their 50 highest UVA rating - it's a cream, easy to apply.

Many supermarket own brands getting good reports these days.

Depending where you're going it may be cheaper when you get there.

Otherwise, the best budget option I've found is Asda. Avoid Wilko's own brand as it's like smearing Polyfilla on yourself.

Lidl Cien Sun Lotion Classic spf 30 gets the Which magazine best buy award.

It costs £3.49 for a standard sized bottle.

Alternative best buy is Hawaiian Tropic Duo Defence spf 30 at rrp £9.00 but probably cheaper if you shop around.

    Have a nice holiday.

Another vote for Aldi. I buy the spray one, very easy to apply.
  • We bought Altruist for our last holiday. It was developed by a dermatologist and is available on Amazon, 2 x 200ml for £8. It's non-greasy and was suitable for my sensitive skin.

B&M and Home Bargains have the top brands, Piz Buin, Ambre Solair etc at much lower prices than Boots and Superdrug.

But I also agree that the Aldi own brand are exceptional value for money.

    I'd never buy suncream abroad.
I've seen it in racks out in the full sun - totally the wrong way to store suncream. And you don't know if someone has opened it, sniffed it and put it back - in which case the effective life date will start to count down from that point.

Some places abroad sell fake branded suncream.

I check brands for UVA protection.
5 stars give the best protection.
Boots Soltan has 5 star UVA, some more expensive makes don't offer such good protection.
