Hello,
Wondering if I could have some advice.
I have just recently moved into a new house and it's on economy 7 with electric storage heater and 2 downstairs heaters on economy 7.
How easy is it to switch to a normal meter and change the 2 downstairs heaters to normal raidators or else something else?
Any advice would be great.

Depending on your supply company no change of meter would be needed. We moved into a house with an E7 meter and our supplier at the time put us on a standard rate tariff fixed for a year and just simply added the day and night readings together. It’s known as a totaliser system.0

Even easier than creating an MSE account.
Contact your supplier
Then get some new heaters.
Then get a job that pays megabucks...

E7 that provides cheap elec at night, Having the heating elements on at night, storing the heat in the bricks and releasing during the day was all designed to work hand in hand.
1) It's good to do reasearch now.
2) I wouldn't bin any storage heaters.
3) You could consider fitting additional heaters (get a quote now), which you could switch on if you didn't like the storage heaters or needed extra heat
But I strongly suggest you try living with them for part of winter and give them ago. Before trying to install a setup that was very expensive to run.
I like storage heaters in bedrooms. As you have open the flap and keep your room warm at night. Although a normal heater would do that as well i guess, just a lot colder when you are getting into bed at 10pm !0 -
Why will it increase your bills moving from Economy 7 to standard rate with GCH ?0

The "something else" part strongly supports that assumption."In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -

Probably best to stick to your existing thread on this matter, or risk the danger of confusing yourself even more
