    Porsche Cayenne.
Chap up the road from me has one, sounds like a V8 to me, looks ok too, even though he seems to have paid someone to spray it with a rubbery satin black, I'm sure one that is shiny would look better.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

On the basis that you're not our resident wind-up merchant where do you live now that makes an SUV so necessary/desirable - particularly if you've not driven for a while

In my last trawl of them I looked at/tested

    Alfa Stelvio
    Volvo XC60
    Ford Edge
    Jag F-Pace
    Merc GLC

Alfa and Volvo both did it for me, Jag was too big (I'd consider E-Page now out), Edge felt big/cumbersome/cheap and GLC was 'average'

Wild cards were Infiniti and Lexus

In the end I couldn't get my head round the additional costs/size of an SUV vs Estate/MPV so bought an MPV and a Convertible for half the cost of a reasonably specced SUV

The Q5. It's well built, well equipped, comfortable and will annoy the hell out of westernpromise.

    LOL.
If you want everyone to think you're a complete wan ker then go for the Audi, but don't forget the cost of the stupid shades that make you look like an insect and also that you're half the typical Audi driver's age. Oh, and the Paco Rabanne can get expensive too.

I've just started looking for an SUV (wife is expecting so we would prefer an SUV) and I must say it's a little overwhelming trying to wrap my head around these PCP deals as well as which car to actually go for. We used to live in Brighton city centre and had no need for a car so I have literally no knowledge of market trends and norms over the past few years.

We want something fairly new, 2017 reg oldest, and from what I've seen PCP would work well for us. We earn over 150k per year between the two of us however I'm self employed and so this gives me the potential to claim back some VAT as benefit in kind.

We are both 31, and I must admit, I'm a shallow git, I want something nice like BMW, Mercedes, Audi. Something with a prestigious 'badge'. We both work hard, so I don't have any issue with spending £500 a month between 2 of us on a car we'll really love. My view is that life is too short, either one of could be hit by a bus tomorrow, we may as well enjoy the fruits of our labour.

I had been looking at a BMW X3, but have heard mixed reviews. If anyone could please offer some advice on the following I'd be really grateful

    - Which SUV to go for
    - What to look out for in terms of warranty and running costs
    - PCP deals. How to find the best deal and negotiate with dealers

I am new to this forum, your help would be apreciated

    Thanks

We’ll spend a few quid of live insurance for the both of you in awe the worst should happen. There’s plenty of sub £400 deals about.

His missus probably left him for an Audi driver who’s doing my better in life than him.
