Hugs to csarina and TA and positive vibes for their DHs.
It rained last night and also this morning but it looks as if the rain has stopped for an hour or two so I hung out some washing and have some bedding finishing off in the drier. Now it is not so hot I want to do some baking for dd and tidy up my bedroom and change the bed.
A big breakfast has set me up for the next few hours and I have some chicken fillets to cook in a herby cooking bag for later that can be eaten hot or cold.
Poor dd was so uncomfortable they booked into an air conditioned hotel room for the night so she could get a little sleep. Fingers crossed baby arrives soon.
Hugs to all.0 -
AOD
The last time I had an abcess I dabbed a tiny bit of whisky on the tooth and gum (did not swallow any) and it seemed to numb the pain for an hour. Hope you can get treatment soon.0 -
Morning all
We had a few heavy showers early this morning but the sun is back now :j. I hope the weather is not too bad this week, as DD and family are going to Devon for their holiday.
I slept for a while on the sofa last night as Mr Fix It was snoring, tossing and turning and a bit of a nightmare. I didn't want to wake him as he hasn't felt well all week, probably because of the heat and lack of sleep. I went back to bed at 4am so I've had a lie in, in fact I have only been up about an hour and I am still in my night attire.
Anyway I don't know what today will bring as I have no plans as present, other than put the DW on.... Oh and check for more ripe blackberries, I picked about 20 yesterday and there were more ready to turn.
Tea tonight will be the remainder of the fruity rice salad, it was delicious and the last of the strawberries and cream. Easy :j.
Gers I hope your Mum goes from strength to strength
Csarina sending healing vibes to your OH. Hope he is ok.
TA and Mr TA extra hugs coming your way.
AOD do you have an emergency NHS dentist nearby. DD has used one and found it on NHS Direct. In any case I hope the pain subsides until you can get it sorted. Hugs
Holly if you finish your painting early, I have two outhouse doors ready for you to paint. Plenty of tea and cake supplied :rotfl:
RedRuby enjoy the gig
Right well I suppose I'd better get myself dressed !
Hope everyone has a good Saturday
Take care and the hug bucket is full, please help yourselves.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -

Have just got back from seeing OH, they have done an MRI scan, no sign of a bleed or clot, so they are now looking at his neck, the headache is back, did he jar his neck when he tipped off the stool in the garden???? He says he cannot remember.
He was on a trolly until 3am this morning before they found a bed for him. The idea of the new A & E was supposed to cut down waiting times, does not seem to be working.........he is being moved at some point to another ward and has been told he will be in for at least another 2 days.
The ward he is in is attached to the A & E and is a mile walk from the car park. I had not taken any pain killers this morning because of driving, but I sure have taken a full dose since I got back in, it took me all my time to walk into the house. I will be going back in tomorrow lunchtime.
I also took a double dose last night so once I got off I slept pretty well.
My stomach is telling me its getting towards supper time, so fish with a small jacket spud and some salad, might have an apple afterwards.0 -
That sounds hopeful Deleted_User, hopefully the hospital will determine what caused this.
We have had torrents of rain and, very briefly, a beautiful rainbow.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0
