Morning All

We've had torrential rain all night and more to come today I think. Washing will have to stay indoors.

I was at a wedding reception last night which was good fun but got soaked walking back for the car, there were huge puddles in the road causing chaos even at midnight. It's the first time I've driven this car in the rain and the dark! The lightening was spectacular but not too much thunder.

Wishing your OH a speedy recovery Csarina.
Glad your DM has improved Gers, hope it continues.
Sorry you have more worries TA.
Hope you can get your toothache sorted AOD.
tru - I would go for the pamper yourself day!

Yoga this morning, I haven't been for weeks so it could be interesting!

Thinking of you and your husband Csarina

We had a very small amount rain totalling sll of 10 minutes, back to sunshine now.

Today I must clean my floors and vacuum in the living room. Then this afternoon I will go over to moms house and do some furniture moving about and a quick clean up, ready for the photographs to be taken next week.

I am then very tempted to go to a certain supermarket and buy some cider Ice lollies and some frozen lemon and lime slices. This will depend on how tired I feel by then and if hubby wants to take me .

News re OH at 10 pm he was still waiting for a bed. The nurse looking after him phoned as he was concerned about me. He said to tell me he was ok!! I need to phone shortly to find out just where he is.

Slept ok, I was in bed just after 8 pm, after midnight before I put the light out, woke for the loo and then went off again. Will be going in to see OH later.

Morning everyone,

Well the thunder and rain started around 5pm last night, with hailstones thrown in for good measure, and it’s now much cooler with a really stiff breeze. I don’t mind warm weather but the last couple of days tested even my love and the animals were really suffering.
Today will be all about catching up on jobs and then over to see Lu this afternoon, we could both do with the exercise

Thinking of you and your OH Csarina hope today shows an improvement.

The rain came last night, thunder lightning it was wonderful. Although I did have to do 'battle' with three run away water butts in the storm.

Morning everyone
We had an amazing storm last night - thunder and lots of lightning in a weird purply grey sky. DD and I were standing on the back step watching it about 10.30pm. Very heavy rain too which got even heavier in the early hours of this morning.
Just dull and cloudy this morning.....I'd be happy if the sun shone again for another week now everything has been watered.
Not got any real plans today....will just see how it goes. Hope everyone has a good day.

Well the heavens opened in the early hours but its stopped now and has the makings of a nice day.

Not sure what we are doing today I'll play it by ear.

Adonis (long term resident on the site) was sunbathing in his Speedos yesterday. Despite his unconventional lifestyle, he looks well and is happy.

Ginge threw up twice last night...She'd been eating grass whilst we walked through the fields. Crafty madam, we don't like them eating grass for this very reason but found the evidence in what she bought up. Naughty girl!

Will start to pack later, we are going home tomorrow. I'm not on childcare duties till Tuesday but I'll need to go food shopping on Monday.

Forgot to say Dumpling well done on the weight loss. I'm struggling.

Csarina I hope your news from the hospital is good.

AOD quite some years ago I had a run of one tooth abcess after another and the pain had me crawling up the wall. Then I read an article on something to ease the pain whilst waiting for an appointment and then the necessary antibiotics to kick in. You might find this hard to believe but I read a big spoonful of ice cream clumped around the tooth helped cool it down! It really worked to ease the pain but you must be sure it is an abcess 'cos if it's toothache the ice cream might just make the pain worse. x

Morning all


We has rain :j it was 41 deg in the kitchens at work yesterday it started to rain about 2.45 and I went and stood out in it the other staff all laughed at me at first but when they saw how cool I was they all came and joined me we all stood in the rain it was bliss we have had another bout in the early hours its so much fresher now.


Tonight we are off to a mini gig thing in the village, you take a picnic and booze and chairs and sit and listen to a brilliant band I am very much looking forward to it, we are taking some French sticks and camembert and ham and maybe the odd bottle of Prosecco


Got to have a tidy /clean through this morning but cant do too much as I still have all of dd's stuff here they still have no confirmed date the solicitors are all blaming each other fr the delay !! they will get there eventually !


Csarina I hope OH is ok and getting the help he needs xx

Thank you for the hint TA, I have no ice cream as we tend not to eat sweet things or pudding other than fruit but if it gets really bad, there's always the bag of frozen peas? Best use for them, I don't like peas.

Very windy here, no rain though since that little splat.
