16 days to go.
Have just cancelled my lovefilm 3 month free trial i got through here, i might join them again once debt free when the weather gets a bit colder.
Relisted PC last night and dropped £15 off buy it now price to match the best offer i got for it, hoping it sells this time or else i am going to have to take out a larger chunk of next weeks wages to be debt free but i am determined to do it.
Was working out my new SOA for when i will be debt free last night, to save £600 a month i need to persuade OH to give me an extra £160 a month, not sure how well this will go down though but if we want a house it has to be done.
Any extra money from Quidco etc will be going straight into savings as well. Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
DF getting nearer!
Saving £600 a month will be great! Does your OH have any savings? or debt? Whats your aim for your house deposit?Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Nope he has never saved in his life apart from giving me money to put in the sealed pot and change jars thats why i see a problem.
He has no debts though though we may need to work on his credit file as when he was younger he had cards and didn't pay them back including a speeding fine he never paid so not sure if he has any CCJ's against him.
We have been together 6 years in February though so they should all be gone off his credit report by time we want to buy somewhere just think we will need to get him a credit card possibly one of those dodgy vanquis ones where he just spends a £1 a month or something to get his credit rating back to ok.
I want to raise at least £20000 if not more for the deposit. Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Lol, sounds like my OH! although mine does have a CCJ because of an untaxed car! He done just what you said and got a capital one card and buy his petrol on it every month to get a better looking file.
Yeah i thought £20k was a good size deposit but after seeing what other people are saving for £20k looks small to there £50 - £80K!Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Yeah when i was reading that thread i was amazed, but it would take me years to raise £80000! I want to buy in 2010 really. Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0
