Hello!
Teeth are much better today although still drinking with a straw and can't eat properly, well i can, just has to be tiny and on the right side of my mouth!
I joined William Hill Bingo before i went away and deposited £12 (played 9.99p and got stuck so had to deposit again to ensure i had played my £10) and that tracked at £20 through quidco and i have just won £66.57 with the free £20 they give you so thats going straight on the credit card once i have it in the bank! :j
Also came back to see mylotto had tracked so £10 profit there too
Not spent a lot today, £2.22 on Ribena cartons to take to charity shop (have straws!) and managed to resist whilst working at shop to not get anything! Although think might be getting a takeaway tonight, have to see if OH will pay :rotfl:Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
Wow! well done on the bingo! I didnt see that on Quidco...may have a go myself.
I cant believe your teeth are still sore bless you! What teeth were they? ...i mean wisdom teeth or normal teeth?Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Normal teeth to make room for when i have my braces fitted so my teeth can move.
They are better again today but the top one is still throbbing, thats the one that bled a lot.
Can't wait to have the others out
Onto moneysaving.... i rang BT today to say i was switching my broadband from them to O2, cheapest they offered me was £15.99 so said no sorry as O2 is only £7.50 a month as i am with them already for my mobile so got a MAC code and ordered my new broadband online via quidco so should get £25 there too
It would be a great saving each month if Scottish Power hadn't put my direct debit up to £49 a month from £32 (got an email whilst i was away saying it would be £49 and not the £48.50 i previously mentioned!) , the cheaper broadband will just even things out now :rolleyes:Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -

Well done Lilmiss on the bingo wins, way to go you :j :j .
Great news about 02 broadband, thats a great amount saved, would of been great if the money saved could be chucked at debt, rather than paying Scottish power, everything is rising these day, unfortunately wages are not rising at the same amount.
Sorry to hear about the teeth, ouch!!!
Maria - if you change to Orange you will get broadband for free - i do, even with my cheapo contract.0 -
Hi Lilmiss,
How's things? I hope your teeth are better and not as painful.
Have you found anymore brilliant money saving ideas???

Hiya,
Had a bit of a busy week so not been on here much.
Managed to survive my first week back at work. I had my review at work on Wednesday and will be getting a pay raise but not sure how much yet, it might be up to £2k but i doubt it, prob be £1.5k at most, i need to make sure i ask my manager Monday what the MD has agreed too. Fingers crossed its a lot!
Tuesday night Nicks brother came off his motorbike at 100mph so hes been up the hospital a lot this weekhes got one broken ankle and leg, 1 broken wrist and just tissue damage hes so lucky as he hit a barrier and it took his friend 20 mins to find him after finding his bike. The police and paramedics were surprised he wasn't dead tbh
I might go up and see him later with him, hes so bored bless him
I have pulled a muscle in my back though and am in a lot of pain, everytime i cough or sneeze its agony, should be at charity shop today but cant stand up for too long so had to call in sick as can't afford to have time off at my real job, been like it since Wednesday
Teeth are not hurting now though i can't stop playing with the top one so its not healed yet, the bottom one has, thing is they have taken the top one out where i have some crowding and always used to play with the gap that was there anyway
In money related stuff i managed to pay off another £50 on credit card this week and i should have been going out tonight for my best friends boyfriends birthday but in too much pain so think i will pay off another £20 with the going out money and get paid Wednesday thank god!
Also Nick has been given a big promotion at work and is now a director of his company! He should be bringing home a lot of money including a chunk of the profits if all things work out so the next year for him will be hectic, i might be a lady of leisure one day:rotfl:

Hello!
Right i am trying to have a productive ish day today and am going to write a list of things that i need to do this week.
[STRIKE] * Order a replacement card from MBNA as i cut my other one up and i think i will need it for proof of ID for when i get the coach to Reading Festival
* Ring HSBC to shut down savings accounts tomorrow as the interest rates are rubbish and i never use them (tried this today, rang me back and said they couldn't do it )[/STRIKE]
* Open a Cash E-Isa with HSBC as Martin advises its a good one if you have a current account with them
[STRIKE] * Ring letting agency about loo leaking (clean water!)[/STRIKE]
* Put Wii on Ebay.
I have finally made the decision to sell the Wii, i have had it nearly a year now (brought it for myself with birthday money last July) and its been played once and i am really aiming to get the debt paid off at beginning of September now so its going
I am hoping to clear the credit card by end of next week and will shut the account down so no more temptation, should really call Goldfish and shut the account down with them i have but i can't even remember if i ever activated the cardplus i have heard if you shut down too many accounts at once it messes your rating up so might leave that a few months.
So then it will be just the loanNow a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0 -
What excellent news about your pay rise and your OH's promotion! Hopefully you will lots of extra money coming in!
Did you apply for the housing scheme?Make £5 a day JAN £121/175 FEB £283/175:jWeekly Grocery budget of £35! Jan £95.05/175 Feb £37.53/1750 -
Its now looking like the pay raise isn't going to be a lot only £500 as they have just taken on a new staff member in my team but suppose its better than nowt. I will know Thursday, means abut £30 extra a month which means i am back to my wages pre pension
I rang HSBC today and cancelled the savings accounts, all gone from my internet banking already so will open the ISA up in next week or so.
Think i am just about to put Wii on eBay, still holding back for some reason
Nicks not sure about the housing scheme with all the stuff thats going on at work although we haven't discussed it properly and i am not sure as guess it will be negativity equity if the prices keep dropping but as i said on your diary that means £20k down the drain whilst saving.
I dunno what to do about it really! Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month0
