TALKTALK Supersafe Booost

When Talktalk got hacked in 2015, they started to give their customers anti-virus/malware software.
I didn't ask for it, and never used it. But they gave it to me free for 18 months anyway.
Now here we are; 18 months later, and they started adding £2 per month to my bill for the Boost.
It took 3 months before I noticed.
Is it legal for them to charge for something that was given for free ????
If this has happened to a million customers... then its a good earner for TT !

Hi there
We do offer the SuperSafe boost for free to our customers for one device. If you need to add any additional devices the charge is £2 for upto 8 devices. As this is a boost you're not contracted to it so if you wish to remove this if you no longer require it or don't wish to pay after the initial free period you can remove this via MyAccount or by contacting us directly.
Thanks

Ah, I didn't know that. I'd assumed SuperSafe, part if my package woukd apply to my iPad and MacBook, as well as my husband's iPad.
That it only applies to one device is disappointing, especially as I am paying £37 pm.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

I don't see any advantage of using Supersafe over a decent antivirus - such as Avast or Bitdefender or virtually any alternative FREE version...
Just make sure that you update it daily !0 -
