Ringo calling app?

In a reply on another thread, a poster suggested using the Ringo app to make low cost overseas calls from the UK.

The app has, or appears to have, the facility to call via an ordinary UK "inclusive minutes" number, thus having an advantage over internet calls that are sometimes broken up due to poor connectivity.

I asked Ringo Support what number they use, is it an 01,02,03 type number, ie is it genuinely free if you have unlimited UK calls. Their reply was as vague as their web pages...

Anyone using Ringo? Can you advise?

We have friends in Spain and Australia and would like an alternative to the VOIP services.

I have Ringo for about 3 years

It dials a local UK number and the call goes through.

I have unlimited UK minutes so there is no charge for dialling the Uk number

Ringo then takes a small charge as stated on their website.

I orginally topped up with about £30 three years ago and have used only half of this so its very cheap especially to foreign landlines
