Joined them recently from the dreadful Together Energy. I put a meter reading in yesterday and the web account immediately changed to show a "live balance". It instantly worked out my bill minus DD payments. What a great feature! I can always find out exactly where I stand (and it was correct!).
Do any other companies do this? None of me previous suppliers have offered this feature.

E.ON tell you the new balance and offer to create a statement too.0

SSE did the same, though it didn't generate a bill there and then but the balance was updated.0

Hi, will be leaving Together Energy and Zebra Power are on my list.
How did the switch go?
Did Together Energy contact you at 42 or 49 days before the end?
Not quite sure whether some suppliers use the 42 or 49 days before end on contract timescale when you can switch.0 -
Switch went without a hitch. Together sent me a proposal for a new contract which was completely wrong. The consumption was about double what I normally use. I wouldn't stay with them for free.
Anyway, nothing negative about Zebra yet.Je suis sabot...0 -

Have Together Energy refunded any credit yet?0 -
A bit early. By complete coincidence, my closing balance left me with a zero balance, so we are talking pennies either way.Je suis sabot...0

37 days til end of Together Energy contract, no bill for last month or offer of alternative contracts, so went for transfer to Zebra Power.0

Email from Zebra Power asking for meter reading but no start date. Not sure if this is typical.
Also should I now cancel my DD with Together Energy? My account is in £60 credit, to prevent them taking further amounts.0 -

I would urge you to cancel your DD today if possible e.g. via your online bank account.
If that's not available, call your bank first thing Tuesday and get the DD cancelled.
Then call the supplier and demand your £60 back.
Why should you be expected to pay for last 2 months energy consumption? Let them take you to court for it if they want it that badly. :cool:0
