    Morning everyone.

    Dumpling - :T:j:T:j that's spectacular!

My day yesterday was awful, DM just got so much worse so I called out the doc again. Third time in a week. The blood tests showed depleted potassium levels so he's prescribed supplements, stopped her digoxin and halved the diuretic dose. We'll see.

I'm hoping that today will be calmer all round.

    Happy Friday to all.

Sorry to hear that Gers, Hoping they can get the balance of meds sorted out today for for your mother. Take care of yourself too

Boy was it a real hot one last night ,just spoke to my eldest DD and she agrees last night was the worst for heat and absolutely no air about at all. I am so looking forward to it breaking today hopefully if nothing else but to freshen the air up a bit Its very humid and muggy at the moment and my outside temperature in the shade is 29c already in my back garden.

I have the boys this morning then last History club this afternoon . then its home for me as my son-in-law will be home after lunch so I will come back to my house and fingers crossed watch the storms from the conservatory .

Three weeks today we are off on our annual holidays to the Isle of Wight for two weeks.A few breezes there will be nice .

Right time for my coffee and some breakfast I have a nice galia melon in the fridge that I really fancy some this morning as a change from cereal.

    Have a good day chums

    Morning everyone,

We’ve had rain :j thunderstorms in the early hours and a good soaking, everything smells so much fresher and the first rain since May. It’s still forecasted to be hot today but cooling down to just 26 degrees tomorrow, it hit 36 yesterday.
We did get to visit DSIL in the afternoon but she is a poorly old thing, nothing is working as it should and they have had to tube her to try and clear all the rubbish in her tum :(

Sorry to read that your DM had such a rough day yesterday Gers fingers crossed that things settle down a tad.

Well done on such a weight loss Dumpling you must be really chuffed and such a good start on your journey of change.

Happy holidays to Judi, hugs to all poorlies or those with worries, especially TA and hubbie.

Dumpling, well done you, I'm nearly as thrilled for you as I would be for myself (chance would be a fine thing atm).

    Speky, happy birthday for yesterday.

Gers, I hope your mum gets sorted out soon.

I woke with a headache, no doubt from the heat at 10.30 last night it was still 28 degrees. We're supposed to have a storm but I'm not holding my breath, they often seem to skirt us.

I had a lovely morning with DD and DS, it's such a treat for them both to be here without spouses. Not that I don't love their spouses but I'm sure you know what I mean. DDiL is giving in her notice on Monday at last, she's been wavering because her toxic boss has been ok recently but then he reverted to type on Wednesday so DS persuaded her to go through with it. She's very nervous.

Ziggy's op went well and she's been very sleepy since. I have to take her for a check up this afternoon. DH is back this evening so I have to pick him up from Luton but that's as much as I'll be doing today I think.

    Morning All,

Belated Birthday Greetings Speky hope you had a good day.

    Well Done dumpling. :T:T

No rain here. It is forecast for Saturday.

I am feeling the heat today, so I will drink lots of water and potter around the house.

Valuation went well. It is the price I expected. I shall probably today or Monday. As I need to move a few bits of furniture round for the photographs. It only takes 48 hours for the property to go on the market. I just think it so sad to think this time next week people will be looking at buying moms house. Being sentimental will not get me anywhere.

    Have a good day x

    Good morning everyone,

Thank you for all the lovely birthday wishes.

Work was enjoyable as people were making me coffee's all day and then the 'surprise' cake and presents were brought out at 3pm (as they do with everyones birthday). They kindly got me a lovely t-shirt, cook book and my favourite doughnuts. Dinner with my family was really nice too. A thoroughly enjoyable day. That's me officially 28 y/o!

So, back to normality now. I'll need to make my own coffee. I'm perhaps going to my friends tonight for a bit. I've a chicken breast out to defrost for fajitas.

The Girl From Work is coming over to mine on Saturday. She wants to treat me for my birthday, despite my protests. We'll try a restaurant/bar local to me, which should be nice. I'm genuinely looking forward to it.

Gers - Sorry to hear that, I hope the change in meds have an effect
    Dumpling - Well done!!!

    Morning all,

We've had a good soaking overnight. No air con needed in fact when I got up this morning to let a hound out I put the heating on low.

Grump is sleeping like a baby (a rather noisy one) and the hounds will be asking me for breakfast soon. Their tummies are running late.

No plans for today. Not as far as I know anyway.

Gers sorry to hear your Mum is not good. Hope her recovery is swift.

Speky good to hear your getting on so well with TGFW.

    Onwards and forwards

    Have a great day all.

Feeling a lot better today so really must try and get a bit of housework done this morning. Too hot to do more than 'a lick and a promise' though!
Popping out with a friend this afternoon for a mooch round a local small market town.

Gers, do hope your Mum had a better night and Dumpling huge congratulations, well done you.
  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Well done Dumpling, I am hoping to have good results in a couple of weeks. I can have a few oven chips with my fish tonight, although if its really hot we may well have salad again!!

We were forecast rain last night, thunder we had in the distance but no rain. We have thunder again this morning and have just has a slight shower, over 3 minutes of heavy rain, so now the slabs in the garden are steaming!! Please let us a have a decent downfall of rain to cool things down. I am really suffering with the heat now.

We now have no fan, it went titus up last night, two blades flew off making a hell of a clatter.....so its in the bin.

OH is now on two lots of antibiotics, he has two abscesses? spelling.....has to wait 3 weeks to get the teeth out. he will rattle more than ever now.

Out to friends for coffee this morning, hope they do not offer us cake, I am going to have to refuse........I got cottage cheese from Sainsbugs yesterday, one of my favourite lunches is 2 ryvita with cottage cheese and a nectarine........I can only have 3 slices of bread a day.......even my HM bread so will just make sarnies for OH.

No sewing done, hope to finish the 'girls' and get the thing together tomorrow and Sunday, as the sewing room faces almost due south can only sew in there in the morning.

Gers... sorry to hear your Mum is not making the progress you would like. They put OH on diuretics when he had his last attack of vertigo, I had an emergency call from the Drs telling me to stop it as he was badly depleted in potassium after they had done a blood test.

Fish tonight maybe with salad, rather than chips, its 25c outside already, back doors and windows open until the sum moves round. Front windows closed and curtains drawn. Sitting room is quite cool.
