  • Many thanks Coupon-mad!

I have taken the suggestions on board and revised the defence.

The defence is now submitted so I shall come back once I have the Directions Questionnaire. :j
  • Hi guys, I have received a copy of ParkingEye's Directions Questionnaire. What do I do now? I haven't received anything from the courts. Am I supposed to have received one to fill out also?

Earlier this week a very similar question was asked:

Can you learn anything from that thread?
  • Perfect, thanks! I checked on my online account and the court only sent it yesterday so I guess I'll receive it tomorrow or Monday! ParkingEye have ticked the box for mediation, just wondering what the best option is here. I've read conflicting opinions. I'm aware that ParkingEye will obviously not take my offer of £0 but I read it's better to do it as it looks better before a hearing. What do you guys suggest?

    No conflicting opinions here.

You need to re-read post #2 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread where you will find comprehensive guidance on exactly how to answer every question on that form.

NONONONO to Mediation. No conflicting advice here.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Hey guys! So a quick question really, I filed my defence back in July and then completed the DQ in August. I then received on 7th September a 'Notice of Transfer of Proceedings', saying that the claim had been transferred to my local court and to 'please await Judge's directions'. This is almost a month ago now and I haven't heard anything. Is it likely this claim will continue?

It is impossible to answer your 'likelihood' question without even knowing which court is your local court and the loadings currently being placed upon it.

If you want to know what's going on, can I suggest you ring, email or visit your local court to find out.

If you want their phone number or email address, google courtfinder and follow your nose.
  • Thanks! Sorry for my extremely dumb question, I just didn't realise how long these things take. Turns out the case is still at the allocation stage.

However, in the meantime, ParkingEye have sent me a very lengthy 'Reply to Defence'!

They have included Beavis, maps of the car park, photographs of all signage etc.

Do ParkingEye usually send a reply to defence? Their reply seems to have actually had some thought put into it as it addresses each of the points in my defence. I was under the impression that they just aimlessly filed these claims - oooops.

Might be a hard one to win but nevertheless.
