Carphone Warehouse forced to complete their mobile contracts
Got two mobile contracts from Carphone Warehouse, both of these contracts are 18 months. CPW sales team sold these contracts based on the fact that, 0800,0844,0870,0845 & 0800 numbers are free from 02 network.
But couple of months ago, they have withdrawn these numbers. They are no longer in my monthly usage minutes. CPW have not send any communication to me related to these changes. When I gave a ring to their customer service, they were very rude and saying that it is nothing to do with CPW & it is service provider responsibility. Then contacted to O2, they said these two numbers are not in their database. Since I am paying my monthly direct debit to CPW, it is their responsibility. CPW Customer service said, they have sent communication to their customers. In fact, they have not send any communication agreed by their Customer service.
Then I decided to cancel these two mobile contracts and requested them to terminate, since they have changed the terms and conditions. But they said, it is not possible. Then requested them to change my current tariff, but they came up with a 400 minutes for £30 pounds, it is very expensive when compared to other network providers.
Can I stop my direct debit? Does it impact my credit rating? What I have to do, Can anyone please advise me about this situation.
