Personally, I'm with Potbellypig... I don't for one second believe this situation is real. I can't believe that anyone would pay c. £120 per month for x amount of months for this so called service.

I'll happily eat my hat though if the original poster can tell me the name of the supposed company that has performed this service, or can direct me to a website that offers the same.

The thing to remember is that I don't need to prove myself to people here. The purpose of the forum is to advise people and that is what I am asking for. Whether the situation is real or not is not of relevance to anyone. Obviously I cannot tell you the name of the company nor am I obliged to without scrutiny here.

Any posts that continue to divert the thread away from the topic and start disputing its credibility will be reported to the forum team because it is not necessary. The forum is not intended for you to verify whether a post is true or not and the forum team do not ask, endorse or expect you to do it.

The same thing applies to anyone else who wants to start.

For a newbie you seem very well informed on what the "forum team" will and won't do. Or are you in fact just hoping that they see things your way? Many years of posting on here suggests that in the majority of threads the OP has little choice over the direction that it takes once the forum gets hold of it.

No, the thing to remember is this is a public forum where you may get posts you don't want to hear.

You have participated in a fraudulent activity (if true) and you are acting all offended by some posts. If this post merits you running to forum admin like a child then feel free.

I'm not sure about the 2020 mortgage dream either, tbh, regardless of how your credit file looked before this fiasco, you probably had more chances of securing the 2020 mortgage then.


Gives the rest of the people here (who are considering quick fixes etc) hope and knowledge that time, patience, paying bills (credit cards etc) on time, having a credit card used sensibly and paid in full, is generally all you need.

They said while it is being looked into any searches of my credit file will come back as refused to prevent lenders receiving the affected information.

I phoned the credit repair firm and they said this can happen and that they will provide me documentation to support the three accounts if they ask for them. These accounts don't exist and all the data on them were made up each month by me, so any documents they give me will also be fake.

I'm really worried about this and a close family friend has advised me this is illegal and I could be arrested for it. I want to know if this has happened before and if anyone here has any experience or advice about what might happen?

It is too late to go back now but I didn't really know it was illegal at the time. I just thought it was harmless cheating.

Sorry, but family friend is right - this is fraud, and you probably need to come clean about this and set about getting these credit file entries removed. May be you will find some difficulty in getting credit if a CIFAS entry is posted to your credit file, hard to say.
