Problems with used car dealer.

    And that would be me running away as fast as possible.


    Could be describing my father who does maybe 1000 miles a year pottering to the shops. Not good for a car.

    If it's had a good service from a trusted mechanic and he has looked over it then I would be inclined to keep it for a while.

    At 11 years old it isn't going to be perfect but a decent service and long MOT on should see pretty cheap motoring for a year.

    I really don't see the point in ditching it on what amounts to a hunch that it might have been abused.

    Well the length of time since the last service and lack of oil cannot have done the engine any good and are more than a hunch I think but I am going to keep it for now. At least I am covered for 6 months against faults that are not new.
