It is. In your position you take 2 A/L for 1 week off work as opposed to a 5 day pw employee, therefore entitlement is pro rata'd for those who's working week is less than 5 days or alternatively calculated in hours.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0 -
I think what t0rt0ise meant is that the weekly allowance is the same number of weeks, regardless of days worked each week. Ie, the number of weeks isn't pro-ratad. Of course, though, the 'week' reflects your working week, which in his/her case is 2 days, so the total days are pro-ratad.

The 'statutory' in 'statutory paid holiday entitlement' means 'legal minimum'. A contractual entitlement may be more, but it cannot be less (or rather: if it is less, say in a situation of a Labour government coming to power and changing the law, then the statutory entitlement trumps). If it is more, then the employee isn't getting a greater statutory entitlement; they are getting a greater than statutory entitlement.0 -

I'm entitled to 39 days per year as that's what my legally enforceable contract of employment states.
If you're going to google search information and then post it here as advice, please ensure you do not garble the information.
The legal MINIMUM is 28 days for a full time employee.
What constitutes full time...a worker working 8 hour days over five days or a worker say working 12 hours over four days.
Worker on four days works more than the person on five days.

A worker doing 5 x 8 hour days will be entitled to a minimum of 5.6 weeks or 28 days leave at 8hrs.
A worker doing 4 x 12 hour days will still be entitled to a min of 5.6 weeks leave but that will be 22.4 days at 12hrsBe Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0 -
I work in a cafe, just me and my boss. My boss decides when we will close for holidays, if I have any hols left they either carry them over to next year or pay them. But I want to take a holiday that suits me. This has happened for the last 2 years0
