holiday days and pay entitlement

hi I cant find help anywhere, I work 40 hours a week over 6 days, my question is how many days holiday am I entitled to. The best way I can show my argument is in numbers;
we get 28 days holiday at 6.5 hrs a day totalling 182 hrs relating to 4.5 weeks
a 5 day worker gets 28 days at 8hrs totalling 224 hrs relating to 5.6 weeks
as you can see a 5 day worker gets more holiday pay for working the same amount of hours, should a 6 day worker be entitled to more days off to get to the government limit of 224hrs or should we be paid 8 hrs for a holiday
many thanks.

Sadly for you there's a 'cap' and holiday entitlement all relates to five day weeks: there's no entitlement for more if you work 6 days pw.Signature removed for peace of mind0

Everyone is entitled to 5.6 weeks holidays. So times the number of days you work per week by 5.6.
4x5.6=22.4
5x5.6=28
6x5.6=33.6
If you work irregular hours on a regular basis you would work out the last 12 weeks. But you wouldn!!!8217;t do it if you worked overtime and you normally work say 37 hours a week.0 -
Sorry I forgot to include that you are only allowed by law 28 days, so perhaps talk to you employer. Working 6 days is pretty hard core!0

No you're not.
I'm entitled to 39 days per year as that's what my legally enforceable contract of employment states.
If you're going to google search information and then post it here as advice, please ensure you do not garble the information.
The legal MINIMUM is 28 days for a full time employee.Originally Posted by shortcrust

5.6 x 40hrs is the total you're entitled to so 28 8hr days.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
@nicechap .... perhaps you should call yourself a different name as you aren!!!8217;t nice. I have a few suggestions.....
YOUR contract states THEY will give YOU 39 days.
The law stands that !!!8220;Statutory paid holiday entitlement is limited to 28 days. For example, staff working 6 days a week are only entitled to 28 days!!!8217; paid holiday!!!8221; https://www.gov.uk/holiday-entitlement-rights0 -

But that's not what you wrote. Stop making things up and passing it off as advice to be followed.Originally Posted by shortcrust
