Hi Guys,
So I just switched to Virgin media as a new customer is there anything I need to be wary off?
Im not expecting the best customer service in the world but I am wondering if there is any Ts and Cs that they like to hide behind?

No UKTV channels!
Yes I know that. I did have some fun with a live chat agent when he asked what I watched and i listed all the channels they are losing and he replied saying "thats great we can make that happen".....quickly followed with some backtracking messages lol.
I was more concerned about hidden fees when you leave outside of contract, mid contract price increases?
that sort of thing0 -

Exactly the same as any other ISP. No hidden fees. 30 days notice once outside minimum term, mid contract price increases annually etc

You can pay line rental Saver in advance to save money. Good idea to do that now for 12months0

A friend of mine has just signed up to Virgin Media also. Do you know at what point they are able to add the 12 months Prepaid Line Rental ? - Do they have to wait to be connected first, or can it be done in advance ready for the connection date?0
-
don't know sorry. The sales people tend not to mention it.
May as well wait till your connected though?0 -
Ring them up to discuss the weather, the price of fish etc, and they will usually start you on a new 12m minimum term.
Seriously, wasn't the time to ask this question before you contracted?
The main downside of switching to VM is that if you subsequently want to switch away to any other provider, you will need a BT line reprovisioning. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Would be a bonus as they are probably on an 18 month deal0

g.
Are you seriously telling me you read all the terms and conditions...every word...and understand what it all means...
And are you really going to believe what a salesman tells you?
The point of this thread is to find out if they use any hidden terms against customers and what (if any) do they twist to make you pay more or get stuck with them.
Having never experienced virgins tactics I thought I would ask on here.0
