Hello
Gosh it's so muggy here.
We are having a problem with our internet today, the speed has dropped to only half of what has been guaranteed. Strangely we saw the engineer in the local box yesterday and our comment was " I bet that will affect us". It has, why is it always us ? Now there's a problem outside the house, probably in that box, so an engineer has been called.
I have been trying to climb the ironing mountain . I have done about a third, so this afternoon I shall attempt another third, which are some holiday clothes ( we've been home 3 weeks and they are still in the ironing basket
) My motto is little and often in the heat, or at any time really :rotfl:.
Mr Fix It, bless him, has cleaned the cooker and the worktops and will attempt to steam clean the kitchen floor.
I have also picked 7 blackberries from the garden :j, so that's about 20 in total so far, but there are a lot more ready to turn from red to black, they just seem to be taking their own sweet time.
I don't know what to have for tea tonight, I will see how Mr Fix It's tummy feels later.
Right no more procrastinating, I must get back to it ........... really , must I ? ( insert heavy sigh smilie )
Gers I hope your Mum is feeling a little better today
TA sending you a gentle hug , enjoy your " me " day.
Nelski I'm glad yesterday went well for you and Mum.
SilverOldie sorry your Mum was uncooperative ( again ). But it made me smile imagining her nibbling on biscuits with her eyes tight shut.
I love comps extra hugs today.
Hope everyone has a good day. Take care, see you tomorrow, I hope.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -

Hi chums been a bit like being back at work today first Mikey was after a lift to MccDs with two of his pals, then Jack needed a lift into Chatham as he wanted to get some holiday clobber, then I was just relaxing with a cuppa and Mikey rang asking could I pick him and his buddies up from the country park where they had walked to and soft old me said OK so just done that so I am now determined to have my afternoon cuppa with no interruptions
:) (hopefully) still no word from DGS Ben about his interview.
DD's back is a bit better at least which is good but my eldest has had to make an appointment to see her Dr as she has a lump on her achilles tendon. Their all falling to bits:) me I am fine, if a bit cream crackered and in need of a good nights sleep.
Quiz night tonight at the pub, so at least I don't have to cook dinner
I agree Waitrose actually do have good vouchers, plus of course you get your free newspaper and coffee. I don't go often as its a 12 mile round trip for me but the Y/S reductions are often pretty good especially with meat or fish late afternoon.
Right relaxing now with my tea:):)and feet up for half an hour

I used to sometimes get some stuff from W8rose when they were in the city centre. Then they closed that shop, and opened a new one on one of the new "posh" estates, and it's such a faff to get there that I don't bother with it any more; specially since we now have a Morries in the city centre, which we didn't before. Most things @ldi don't sell I can get there, and anything I can't, I use Tosspots or occasionally @sda. And of course I get my cheese, eggs and honey at the farmers market, and my F&V from the city centre market stall. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
