unfortunatly that is an "how long is a piece of string question"
The figures they are quoting are the amount of Dollars you would get for £1 so if it says 1.4699 you would get $1.47 for each £1 you change.
However these are the figures the finantial markets us so if you go to your local travel agent they will be offering les than that (around $1.42) as they make money on the differance.
As for when to buy no one knows as the market is not behaving in a rational way at the moment. If you are going on Sunday then to be honest I would buy now and just look forward to your holiday.Totally Debt Free & Mortgage Free Semi retired and happy0 -

well i'm a genius, not sure about neil, and IM, think they sweep the streets or something like that;)
if you go this sunday, you should really buy now. its not looking like doing much until then. its too late to get them delivered by https://www.crowncurrencyexchange.com/content/us-dollars.asp so you are probable best to go to M&S or somewhere like that. whereever you go, the rate will not be brilliant.0 -

You can class me in the genius class and bow down to my superior knowledge of all things dollarish0 -
Well I've seen the fall today and gone and hedged my bets. Bought some $ from Crown Currency at $1.505 for May 15th delivery. I really can't see things improving much between now and then.
Oh, and congratulations on you visa Mr Bond (lucky Bu**er)!:rotfl:0
