10:20 16Mar09 GBP/USD: 10-Day Peak Scaled, Barclays Shares Up 20%
[10:19 GBP/USD: 10-Day Peak Scaled, Barclays Shares Up 20%] London, March 16.
Cable has just scaled a 10-day peak of 1.4212 as the pound continues to benefit
from increased risk appetite re: global stock market strength. Dow futures are
currently up 83 points. The Dow closed up 0.75% at 7,223 on Friday, having closed
at 6,547 last Monday. 1.4306 (March 6, post-US employment report high) is a
GBP/USD bull target. 1.3895 was today"s early Asian session low.
The early Europe disclosure from Barclays that its businesses have made a
"strong start" to 2009, and the UK clearing bank"s confirmation that it has held
discussions with a number of potentially interested parties re: the possible
disposal of GBP 5bn-valued iShares, were a catalyst for this morning"s sterling
gains. Barclays shares are currently worth 88.7 pence each, having closed at
74.1p on Friday. Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk

hi all, just wondering does anyone no anything about mortgages? and buy to lets? i currently own an aparmtent and want to let it out, and move to another place. the mortgage lender that i will be using for the new place said i have an excellent credit score and therefore they don't even need proof of earnings, very strange in this time of credit crunch. however, i've been told i need to make sure i have a letter of consent from my mortgage company that i have my flat from. what happens if i don;t get permission? should i just do it anyway? what are the risks? any advise would be great. i've searched this forum for another thread but its not been updated since 2006 so its probably out of date by now0
