We are planning to do alot of it on foot, our hotel is situated in West 57th Street, near to Central Park, and i think Times Square.

I'm sure you'll have a great time. NYC is still on our 'to do' list (it's a very long list though!)

    Hi Guys,

I'm going to America on 13th April this year for 3 weeks, looking to take in the region of 3k spending money - can anyone advise me what methods to use for accessing / changing up my cash? I have a Nationwide Flexaccount (debit) and used this last year withdrawing in the US at a very pleasant 1.9 $ to the £.

Unfortunately I should have bought my currency last year, however I didnt have that foresight or cash so here I am

I'm seeing a not very nice 1.35 as a max to buy at - anyone have any predictions as to how things might be by mid april?

Also does anyone know how the exchange rate at which I will withdraw in the US is calculated - i.e. is it a good or bad rate?

    Many thanks!

  • Im going with Virgin from Manchester, how about you?

I am past caring about the dollar now, we need divine intervention to make it what i would like.

Monkfish, Mickey mouse clubhouse is on repeat in our house and every available space on sky+ is taken up by episodes. It drives me mad and is no doubt going to get worse after this trip.

    haha
glad i'm not the only one, although my daugher is getting passed that a bit now - largely due to her older sister introducing her to the annoying Hannah Montana !!!!

    it gets worse, trust me......

    u must do Disneyland Paris.....
