Resistance levels above include 1.3900, 1.3950 and 1.4000. The pre-weekend low was 1.4039 (Friday). 1.4080-1.4184 was yesterday"s Asian session range.
The pound is benefitting from a triple-digit rise in Dow futures, and the
fact that UK banking sector shares are all in positive territory for the day.
Barclays shares are currently trading at 69.3 pence each, having closed at 61.4p yesterday. HSBC shares are currently trading at 378p, having closed at 349p yesterday.
