Its really jumped today... Can you think of a reason why? No new figures, the normal talk over the weekend on QE I would have thought would have caused a fall.... Only thingf I can think of is government annoiuncing northern rock to pump in £14bn of new mortgages over the next couple of years or so.0 -

10:44 23Feb09 GBP seeing good demand this morning
(GBP) GBP seeing good demand this morning with cable rallying around 1% to
1.4650 and EUR/GBP down almost 1.6% at 0.8760, though traders unable to point to any clear factor behind the move. Some suggest is it being driven by ongoing short-covering in cable following the sharp rally Friday, others are suggesting it may be linked to talk that RBS to be split into 'good bank' and 'bad bank' while others talk of 'good demand' from M.E reserve managers. Please take the time to have a look around my Daughter's website www.daisypalmertrust.co.uk
