The DQ gives you the option of a hearing or just letting the Court decide on the papers.

You need to ask for a hearing! Ask for it to be held at your local Court

    Complete the DQ

See the newbies faq #2 for advice on the DQ and links to the process

The document I have received is a copy of a completed Directions questionnaire from the Claimants solicitors and it is already filled it. There doesn't appear to anything for me to fill in, unless I will also get my own version to complete.

You should have got one/will get one from the court to complete.

Okay, so the Directions Questionnaire has arrived today so I assume that means I am looking at a court appearance?

    No.
Is there anything I have to do at this stage?
    Yes.

And how many times on other Gladstones threads have you read that happens the norm, and that Gladstones are (almost certainly) suggesting the matter is 'straightforward' and they want a hearing 'on the papers'...words that you haven't mentioned or noticed?

If you were not expecting all this tedious usual stuff, you need to read more Gladstones claim threads.

Yes you need to do your own N180 and the usual covering letter rebutting the idea of a hearing on the papers, but today I've done enough than to look for links you should have already searched for, and read.

So spend some days reading other Gladstones threads ahead of you. Told you how to find winning court claim threads ages ago, in post #20.

    Another one 'bites the dust'!
Good Morning all, just a quick message of thanks to everyone that has helped me on this claim it has been very much appreciated. Today was court day and bw legal's claim on behalf of Total Parking Solutions for £220 was dismissed & laughed out of court. They offered a reduce settlement of £150 during the week which I rejected as I knew they had no chance of winning. Today the Judge just basically shrugged and questioned why this case had reached this far.

Total farce and a waste of everyone's time and energy. I just wished I had claimed expenses for wasted day off work.

    Thank you all!

Yes being a total novice on all this it slipped my mind with the nerves of it all and other things going on in my life. I mentioned it in my original defence, but I forgot to look into what I needed to do since then.
