Cellotex as roofing?
Comments
-
The area you want to shade is exactly 2 sheets of plywood/sterling board. the latter being approximately £10/sheet. How much will batten at 150mm centres cost you?thank you,
the pergola is built and looks greatt, but was thinking of a little shade!
So i was given some cellotex and i thought mmm could i lay that on top of 25mmx25mm battens , pond line it for rain then to look pretty calico underneath and lights.
No load bearing or any weight on top but someone said heavy snow will bring it down? the battens should look after that? they will be placed every 150mm if we ever get any lol.....
Pergola roof 2400 x 2400, shade area 50%
Thanks for all your comments1

Also, you can not bond the epdm to the celotex where as you can fully bond to a osb/ply substrate. This is the reason for the recommendation, not to poo poo your idea of using free celotexSome people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0 -
You're just saying that because the OP won't take no for an answer aren't you?AndyMc..... wrote: »Yes, it will be fine for that purpose.
