    Morning all,

It's drizzling here again this morning. It did the same yesterday then brightened up in the afternoon so fingers crossed that it does the same again today. We're up and have had breakfast so I'll be getting dressed soon to go running and the HT will be sitting around in his PJs. He's meeting his friends later in the week so I assume it will take them all day to arrange that by text :rotfl:

He's eaten everything out of the cake tin so that'll be one of my jobs when I come home. I'm sure I'll find some other jobs to do - there's always something.

Good luck to MrTA at the doctors. Somebody somewhere must be able to help.

Tru do you have piriformis syndrome? I have New Balance 860 V8 trainers and New Balance support for spare, but basically I need something with arch support rather than flat because I over pronate and it makes my hip and knee hurt if I wear flat shoes/trainers for more than a day or so.

Nelski I'd take her for you if we lived close enough. Just as if they were naughty toddlers obnoxious parents seem to behave better for other people.

Take care all of you :)

    Morning all.

We haven't gone yet. Not sure we are going either as we had a huge bust up last night.

He's still in bed and I'm packed ready to go.

It's his money he's wasted. It's me that's got to put up with his moods and outbursts till he goes back to work.

Sick of living with a control freak who thinks he's God.

Maybe if I ignore him long enough he'll go away.

    Onwards and forwards

    Have a great day all.

    Good morning all,

A very nice weekend was had.

Friday was date night. We both stayed late in the office until most people left then I drove us both over to the restaurant which she picked. It turned out that the vouchers she had didn't cover the full meal, so I paid the rest which made me feel a bit better about it all. After that we went to the pictures and I dropper home afterwards. It was a good night and I'll see her outside of the office again, potentially this week at some point.

The wedding on Saturday was brilliant, a really good night at a lovely venue. Knackered from it all mind you.

Really busy day today, so I have to dash.

Poppy - sorry to hear the awful news from Friday. You not only have good friends and neighbours in RL, but we're here too.

Nelski, sending you calming vibes. I'm going to visit my mother this morning. Last time I went see sat with her eyes closed, the time before that everything was wrong, including me. Wonder why we're the only ones to visit.

TA I do hope you can get some answers

    Gers thinking of you

    Judi enjoy your holiday

    Good morning everyone :hello:
It's still very warm so I also had an uncomfortable night. I came downstairs in the early hours for long enough to see Steve off to work and then went back to bed for a couple more hours. Lee is sleeping in the living room at present as his room being the smallest is far too warm for him even with the window open.

Well, I am still firmly on the wagon as regards my eating so it's all good. Had a few wobbles but so far have stayed strong. I made the pulled pork and apricot and green bean salad from Eat Well for Less for lunch yesterday and it was a huge hit with leftovers for my lunch today. Tonight I am making a tuna and courgette dish with rice or pasta, haven't decided yet. The kids like it but Steve hates tuna so he is having a yucky Fray Bentos pie instead.

Hugs Judi, hope you manage to get away today. It must be so hard living with a controlling husband, wishing you shed loads of patience xxx
Nelski, maybe you can visualise all of us standing with you looking at bananas, well it made me smile anyway :). Hope your appointment goes well xx
Speaking of appointments, TA I also hope you get somewhere with Mr TA at the doctors today xx
Jackie, not long now till your holiday :D. I have decided that if I ever get to a place where I can go on holiday, the Isle of Wight will be one of the first places I want to go to purely from your descriptions and obvious love for the place xx
nmlc, fingers crossed you get your new and improved kitchen properly up and running soon xx

Hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx

Holly, thank you. DH really enjoyed the concert - I did too after a fashion. I hate to admit it, because most people are appalled but I don't really like a lot of music. I quite like a lot of classical music and 30's and 40's music plus things like the beatles etc but I never listen to the radio or stream music as a choice.

We were late home because the train was held up at Finsbury Park while police searched the line with dogs for some miscreant. Ziggy was ok, except that she had registered a protest by chewing the end of the arm on DH's specs. Luckily he has been saying for a while he needs a new pair and they are wearable atm. He has hurt his back playing golf, he doesn't give it time to properly recover before he does soomething so now he has to cancel the gym tonight.

Nelski, good luck banana shopping. Dumpling, well done on sticking to the healthy eating plan.

Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

TA I really hope that the Drs can come up with something to help your husband, I know its an awful worry for you.

We had a very cool day yesterday until about 3pm when the sun came out with a vengence. Its 10 degrees up on yesterday morning already, OH is in the garden, I told him not to be out for more than an hour, we are forecast to have it stonking hot today. curtains etc drawn.

Washer is on, I am going to have to wash a couple of times a week, last week I had a huge wash which wiped me out hanging it on the line. Back is no better so an appointment with the Dr. is going to have to happen.

We finished the rasps yesterday, it will be blackberries next OH says they are starting to ripen.

Our friends the travelling pastors were supposed to go down to Bristol on Friday, J came yesterday, they set off towing the caravan behind their motor home, the hitch was not on properly so the caravan came off and ended up in the ditch on the lane where they live. They managed to get it out and back home, but there is quite substantial damage to the front corner apparently. We had a special hitch lock on our van which would have prevented that happening. It sounds as though they did not have the brake cable connected, that would have put the anchors on the van if it had snapped.

Not planning to do much today, heat and I do not mix well, so will be keeping out of the sun when it moves round to the back this afternoon, we might just get morning tea and lunch in the garden.

I am hoping that some thread I sent for will come today, I asked the ladies to match the fabric I sent as close as they could, what ever the colour I am going to use it, I want to get the quilt put together.

Gers, I hope everything is ok with your Mum.

Cold chicken and salad tonight for supper, I will make a jelly with some of the frozen strawberries for dessert.

    Morning everyone
It has been a really warm weekend here but quite breezy. The forecast is for it to last into August.
I was up early this morning and have stripped my bed and cleaned all of the downstairs. After my cuppa I am going to clean upstairs and then everywhere is nice and tidy for the start of my six weeks holiday.
The cats blankets are in the washing machine now...they don't have beds as such...just lie on various blankets around the house.
This afternoons plan is to sit very lazily in the sun with my book...I'm almost finished 'The Tattooist of Auschwitz.' I love the summer holiday as I have loads of time to read.
Hope everyone has a good day
