Silver-oldie, I too have a glut of cucumbers but the neighbours are happy! Sadly not so many of them like courgette.

Wish you could sent some courgettes my way, mine have been a disaster. As soon as they are two or three inches long they rot.If you walk at night no-one will see you cry.0 -
Courgettes...I turned my back on one 3" long on Thursday...it was a baby marrow yesterday
When they are glutting I tend to ribbon one & toss into beaten egg yolk & parmesan with crispy chopped bacon as no-carbonaraor grate & make into fritters. I have tried various bakes but found them heavy & rich with cheese / cream / eggs etc.

Hi ya Chums boy its a warm one today I have just done battle with my freezer and hacked away what seems like the north face of the tiger after a bit of a tidy round in there it looks as though I have actually got half a drawer free from food its only taken me weeks to do it ,at this rater it will be Christmas before I can defrost it.Still it wasn't too bad and sitting by the freezer door hacking away with my little tack hammer I got a surprising amount out
Just off round to DDs shortly and we will sit on her patio in the shade and drink tea and play whist and hopefully find a cool breeze from somewhere
Have a good day chums ,I really do wish it would rain a little though as everything is so brown and dead looking in Kent at the moment even the weeds are giving up

Ok so I should be packed up and almost ready to leave in the morning but we came back from shopping and flaked out.
Can't see much being done tonight either.
Looks like it's going to be a mad rush in the morning.
